Splendour

I am passionate about exploring new styles and always encourage artists to push themselves as an artist. With that in mind I was determined to try a something different myself. With this painting I have been inspired to explore both a new theme and tone which is something I hope to continue in the future.

While my love for colour remains, this particular painting captures my interpretation of a sunset from Selworthy Point at the end of North Hill in Exmoor. Spending many evenings watching the sunset from this spot. It has is a special place for many in the local area. The ever-changing mood of the sky dipicked in this dramatic sunset reminds me of God's canvas, which is beautifully painted each day. With small gold leaf details highlighting where the sun breaks through the clouds, this painting truly captures the essence of splendour.
